Direct Motion

I've been away from this keyboard far to long, so I'm more than happy to be back. My inspiration today comes from Uranus' direct motion at 0 degrees and Jupiter's direct motion to occur December 26th. This new year is going to come in with a bang!

Back to Uranus, the planet of CHANGE, unexpected change, liberation, freedom, ingenuity, in the sign of Aries, the initiator! We here on planet Earth are in for radical evolutionary change as the two outer planets, Uranus (which also represents social groups and friends) and Pluto, dance within a 90 degree square for the next three years!!!

Remember square dancing in junior high phys ed class? It's awkward, tight, and doesn't flow well, and was actually kind of hard to learn.  Unless one really understands and trusts the rhythm of change, two steps forward, one step back, or something like that, frustration, anger, self-doubt, and all kinds of irritating feelings arise. Learning to dance in a square requires willingness to learn something new, with a key factor to work together, once this occurs the dance is quite fun!

If we apply square dancing to the collective picture, we too will have quite a bit of adjusting to do.  The rapid acceleration and harbingers of change appearing before us now are surely at hand.  At times we may experiences these changes-surprises as unfriendly, thus we may feel justified in our beliefs, our stance of anger, judgments, or fear (another memory is popping in my head...just connecting with junior high friends on Facebook brings these forward). Let's say one of your dance partners is not your favorite person, or they are the least favorite person in the school--we still had to dance with them, hold their hand, accept them, and somehow find compassion and tolerance for them to get a passing grade in the class and get through the moment.

Life right now is kind of the same scenario. We are all here together on this huge planet, with different religious and political beliefs, different skin color, different experiences, and yet we are very much connected by our similarities. The energy of this a square pattern between Uranus and Pluto forces these issues to the surface, bringing them out of hiding, so the drudge, the resistance to change the familiar (patriarchal Saturn-Capricorn) can break free and establish new norms.  Uranus has been retrograde since July 10th.  This planet doesn't move as fast as Mercury, but the volatile energy it imbues into our lives is unmistakable, so don't underestimate its power to move your life forward in exponential ways.

With all the Sag energy we are experiencing now (eclipses, Sun, Mercury retro and the nodes), and how we work with it, will be let loose when Jupiter, the ruling planet of Sagittarius, moves direct at 1 Taurus on the 26th of December.  Thus as Jupiter picks up speed, at the same time Uranus does, big changes will come forth, in our personal and collective lives.  This means the energy of Sagittarius will be with us through the beginning of the year.

Sagittarian's above all value freedom, nature, and firey interplay.  What in your life needs freeing up, what needs to be cleaned up (Mars in Virgo for six months), let go of to make room to expand your intuitive nature?

The lunar eclipse on December 10th at 18 degrees Sag is four degrees away from the transiting nodes (14 Sag-Gemini).  This combinations lends extra fuel to the Sun, the Moon in Gemini, retro Mercury in Sag (ruled by Gemini) and Jupiter transiting in Taurus.  Questions to ask yourself:  what do I value? am I living my truth? are my beliefs congruent with the highest and deepest truth? what emotions are out-dated that I continually distract myself with? what actions can I take to organize my space and my life in support of these changes? where do I get nurturing from? do I need more time to meditate, space out, dream, and connect with Source energy? Can I be more compassionate with myself and others?

Happy Holidays!

Noa's Hippiefest

Wow! Last night my God-daughter Noa, had her Bat Mitzvah party--it was a total blast! The theme was the 60's and her mother, Marci created an exceptional celebration.

Marci hired The Transformational Astrologer, a report generating astrology professional and two readers, one of them me (pro bono).  I did psychic readings for lots of young girls and a few adults with the added benefit of seeing their chart coordinates. It was sooooooooo much fun!  They were all blown away and so was I.

Like clock work now, when I go to do readings, the clarity of information that comes through is quite accurate and I absolutely love it because I am completely fulfilled in those moments of being in total service to the Divine, and I especially enjoy talking with young souls.  The experience is similar to communicating with animals, because most children are non-resistant.

The other awesome aspect of the party was all the dancing with Suzanna, Kate, Marci, Robin, Greg, Gregg, and all of the Steiner-Haverson family, plus the plethora of delicious food, psychedelic activities, and the Bon Fire!

Love you all and love you Noa--you are the best and I am sooooo honored to be your Godmother.  Congratulations!

Barometer of the Heart

Our actions regarding the heart, creative pursuits and our vested selves are couched now with the need to consider what value these actions bring us, and what value they bring to others.

Mars is in Leo (the creative heart-self) squaring Jupiter retrograde in Taurus (Venus--possessions, how we make money, pleasure in relationships...).  Jupiter wants to expand these things and Mars want to take action in love, art, and self.  The square of these two planets forces the issues at hand (conflict) asking us to stop and consider others (Venus) more deeply than usual.

I see Occupy Wall Street clearly reflected in this aspect.  Taurus is an earth sign that appreciates being valued and Leo moves our hearts--warriors following their hearts, asking us personal and as a collective to reconsider what we truly value.  At the same time, Saturn is in Libra (also ruled by Venus) forging new pathways (Saturn relates to structures, foundations) in our relationships.

The transiting North North is in Sagittarius and Jupiter is it's ruling planet.  Jupiter in Taurus would typically be a "me" kind of signature, but the the North Node in Sag, Jupiter's focus carries a bigger perspective than Taurus' need to stabilize the self--it now looks to the Earth and her inhabitants to embrace natural law and love of the planet that gives us so much, and

On the chart of the US, our North Node is in Leo and we have done Leo overboard--self, self, self.  Now we are asked to step up into the true light of Leo and express our generosity, our ever radiant selves, illuminating the golden light of the Queen-King within.  We are all radiant expressions of God-Goddess.

Enjoy the fire of Leo!

New Moon in Libra

Wow! can life get any faster?  The answer is YES!  With so many planets in the go mode, lots of Libra in opposition to Uranus, it's extraordinarily intense, especially if you have early degree cardinal signs in your chart (Aries, Cancer, Libra, Capricorn).

Today's glorious and much needed balancing New Moon begins in the early AM, when the moon meets up with the Sun at 4 degrees of Libra, the sign of the scales. The Sun/Moon pair squares Pluto and opposes Uranus--two big players in the cosmos--forming what is known as a T-square aspect in astrology.

Oppositions offer us the opportunity to find balance between two polarities (usually we spend time at one archetypal end or the other until we find a way to integrate the opposing energies), and the square brings forth the growing edge of conflict, rubbing us up against something or someone that irritates us.  These challenging aspects force evolution, whereas easier aspects, such as the trine and quintile offer us comfort and ease.

Libra is an air sign and is ruled by the planet Venus, thus communication and what we value in our lives in our one-on-one relationships is highlighted at this time, while simultaneously the bigger picture has our attention too due to the major influence the outer planets have on this New Moon.  Mercury, conjunct the Sun/Moon, further enhances the need for cooperation, communication, and the forging of quick connections.

With the Moon/Sun in direct aspect to Uranus and Pluto, the polarized energy between Uranus and the Sun/Moon offer us the opportunity to burn off a huge amount of karma in respect to our relationships (past and present), because they square the planet of shared intimate resources, shared sexual fluid, primal urges--the point of release in this t-square is Pluto.

Uranus and Venus have two very different functions.  Uranus wants freedom, liberation, and to express eccentricity while Venus wants stability, and to relate and bond.  The two together forge a unique twist on the traditional relationship, so this moon may bring a surprising twist to our relationships, bringing us into more honest and radical communication with our partners than we have had before, and most certainly the need to significantly change our relationships.

Uranus votes for change, Venus holds on, and Pluto forces the issues (the truth) to the surface, if they haven't come up already.  This is especially true for folks with planets/angles in early degree cardinal signs.  It will be interesting to see how this new moon plays out in the bigger socio/economic/political arena.  From everything I have read, when Uranus goes direct in December, some big corporate deceits will be brought out.

The Part of Fortune, Venus, Saturn, and Juno are all also in Libra, conjunct carrying the torch of balance, bringing with them the call for serious stabilization and benefits (even marriage) when the essence of beauty, fairness, equality and justice is applied in all our affairs.

This new moon is an excellent time for meeting new people, building new relationships, meeting a partner and for ending a relationship.  If the later is the case, hopefully it ends in balance rather than extremes.

These Libra planets bring grace into the heavens, after so much upheaval in the world.  May they bless and benefit you all.

with love...

Mars Entry in Leo

written late last week

It seems like a year has gone by since Mars moved into Cancer (August 4th).  We had an earthquake here on the eastern coast of the US and a hurricane, followed by torrential rains and floods a week after the hurricane was gone.  Thanks goodness Mars moves forward into Leo September 20th, because my natal Moon Mars square in the signs of Capricorn and Libra can't take much more of Mars in Cancer (in late degrees)!

In these last days of Mars in Cancer, the Moon has been in Aries.  First the Moon opposed Saturn in Libra (a tense and worrisome combination), then Moon squared Mars in Cancer further fueling tension, anger and just plain cranky energy in the collective.

For me personally these transiting bodies formed a grand cross with my own natal Mars-Moon square, creating a grand cross of double Moon and double Mars!!!!!!!  Ahhhh!  watch out, this is loaded.  This only happens once very two years thankfully.  I don't know that I ever noticed it before, but this time around I certainly have.

Mars, ruled by Aries, is known as the planet of war, competition, aggression.  The sign of Leo is also firey and quite aggressive when it is combined with Mars or Aries energy.

In general though, Mars entry into Leo should lighten things up as it trines Uranus in Aries, igniting fire into the collective rather than so much earth and water.  Those elements bring in lots of concern about security, home, money.  Now with the fire signs lit up, our inspirational and creative selves can move forward with more ease.

On the 26th of October, Mars and Saturn will be in trine aspect, so if there is something you want to establish in a concrete way, this is a good time to move forward with it.

Let's enjoy this fun loving Leo Mars energy now because Mars moves into Virgo after this invigorating Leo energy for six months!

Equinox Astrology Presentation

Autumnal Equinox September 23rd–7-9 PM
$20 at the door-Monies go to Unity Church, Astro Meet-up and cost of presentation
Unity Church, 111 Central Avenue Gaithersburg, MD in the Scantuary

Send me your date, time and place of birth to participate in fun part of the presentation

As the peaking of outer transpersonal impulses (Uranus-Pluto squares 2011-2015) impact our collective means of living here on Earth, the fundamental ways in which we live is changing right before our eyes, just as they did between the years 1926-1930 and 1965-1970.  These impulses are shaking the foundations of what our collective culture has been predicated on to the core! breaking up the old, so new levels of freedom for humanity and the Earth’s kin may emerge.

These themes bring intense and chaotic patterns forth on all levels, at the same time the drive to maintain past paradigms by those in power are driven by more greed and corruption than ever present.  To mindfully manage the quickening and resistant dualistic frequencies upon us on the planet today, we must be embodied in our personal power, through the heart-mind (conscious contact with Spirit) body and soul, to handle the conflicting extremes rolling through the world and to contribute in significant and positive ways.

Between the years 2011-2015, Uranus and Pluto will make seven exact squares to each other, forging collective liberation from toxic structures that hold humanity back from consciously evolving.  During this unfoldment of yet another monumental phase of progress, we can contribute most authentically by taking more responsibility for our souls, than we ever have before.  We each have a specific evolutionary soul signature that is more complex than our singular Sun sign.  To harness this signature and the higher frequencies of the times, it is incumbent upon us now to embrace our souls and liberate them and the world.

In this presentation we will:

  • get a basic overview of astrology

  • discuss planetary astro map of the USA

  • discuss the specific message the outer-planets are sending us

  • determine how we can harness and steward their energies both personally and collectively

  • talk about the soul and its desire to evolve, as well as its innate resistance to change

  • find and fuel our centers in the midst of this transformative time

Things to bring:

  • an open mind, courage of soul, willingness to be transparent

  • questions you may have

Please contact Wendy if you are willing to offer your chart and life experiences as a model for exploration during this presentation.

Late Summer is Here

[caption id="attachment_4205" align="alignright" width="210"] Magical pumpkin patch 2007[/caption]

They don't call Virgo the sign of mutable earth for nothin! the earth was shaking and quaking around here last week, only for a minute though, along with huge felled trees and unfortunately lots of flooding up north in my alma mater state Vermont, due to hurricane Irene.

Now, the power is restored (after 3AM chain saws roared--no joke--to finish cutting up trees lying in the middle of three surrounding roads) and we can get down to focus, the delight of Virgo--intense detailed discerning focus!

I usually don't enjoy the shift from Leo to Virgo that much, being a Leo Sun sign, I would like for the summer to go on and on, at least for two more months.  But every year the harvest sign comes around and we shift from intense heat and play to harvesting what we planted throughout the birth of spring and the light of summer.  To reap the harvest though, we have to work, another attribute of Virgo.

This summer was light to say the least, especially August.  My birthday (August 10th) was filled with reactionary people and a much needed, but lone vacation.  Not the way the typical Leo wants to celebrate a birthday.  Nevertheless, my ducks are in a row for harvesting and I am ready for late summer, the season of Virgo. This week I officially start at National Integrated Health Associates, offering integrative bodywork, Pilates sessions and classes, while plans for moving to a new home (with enough space to house in-depth training programs and events and in support of my higher multi-dimensional healing work with animals and people) is in progress, plus I am giving an astrological presentation on September 23rd, the Autumnal Equinox on the Soul & the Signs of the Times (location to be announced soon--hopefully Unity in Gaithersburg!).

More posts to come with planetary insights for September.  For now, glad most everyone is okay from the immense shifts we are all going through, and I send love, light and prayers to those who have suffered or lost their lives from the wrath of Irene.

Tomorrow is the last day of August :(, so sad for Leo...even for this earthy mama!

Love to you all,
Wendy

Galvanizing the Boon

Many years ago I began a courageous journey, naive to what lay ahead, and the amount of consistent effort required to evolve with love and acceptance towards the continuous moments and events of my life.

Rather than stay stuck and stagnant, I stepped forward and stumbled.  This led me back to myself, to searching deeper into my inner world.  There I found desire, to discover what made me tick.  In my discovery, I found the language of mythology, astrology, and the heroine's journey.  These became my collaborative evolutionary tools (they are always cheering me on).

Now, twenty-two years later, Saturn, the planet linked to the heroine's journey, which galvanizes us into maturity, form, and responsible action, is making its way through the second quadrant of my chart, into my 5th house of creativity and children, slowly approaching my descendant.

I wonder what will my creative maturation bring to the world?

The final work is that of the return.  If the powers have blessed the hero[ine] [s]he now sets forth under their protection, if not, [s]he flees and is pursued [obstacles].  At the return threshold the transcendental powers must remain behind; the hero[ine] reemerges from the kingdom of dread.  The boon that [s]he brings restores the world.
~Joseph Campbell, The Hero's Journey

The heroine believes without the shadow of doubt that what she brings forth is for the greatest good.  She knows her work and her creations are restorative to the collective somehow, by igniting courage and heart in those that have gone astray or lost hope.  But, this idea, the heroine's journey, is but an ideal that can be usurped by the Virgonian-Scorpio mind (pulling the heroine away, obsessed with the perfection and the task, and over-thinking rather than being present and clear).  The way to actualize the ideal is through the use of discernment (and forgiveness of self and other), an imperative to staying the course, as distractions always come along.

Once on course, creative juices flow again.  Eventually, the heroine reaches the threshold, planetary transits clear away the illusory falsehoods within the psyche and life of the heroine, making way for the boon to come, if the soul's desire and requisite action (Mars=choices) to evolve is strong enough.

Whether the heroine improves the world in some minor or major way is not important.  The magnitude of her contribution comes as she births her creative voice and creative power.  If her mission is linked to her soul's evolutionary purpose, and she is dedicated to complete and utter soul-responsibility, she will succeed.

This is my creative mission now, as Saturn moves forth with its galvanizing force, to further prepare my creative boon to share with the world.

Thoughts for the journey along with way~

  • Even in the midst of pain, resentment, and despair, one thing I know for sure, that which is projected outwards is a calling for internal acceptance, self-love, self-parenting, and the establishment of soul-responsibility.

  • When we walk through the shadows and reach into the abyss, to face our darkest fears and enter "the dreaded cave", we most surely will find treasure.

  • This is the work of Soul, to be responsible for ourselves and the birthing of a liberated new world--our personal and collective work over the next fifteen years as Pluto transits in Capricorn.

  • What are you working with now?  What is calling to you most deeply?  Are you listening?

I am grateful to have learned from so many wonderful guides along the way, such as Clarissa Pinkola-Estes, Joesph Campbell, Carl Jung, Jeffrey Wolf Green, Louise Hay, and from the many and varied modalities of bodymind integration, and the many personal teachers who have graciously and willingly assisted me, including all my friends and evolutionary astrology soul family I have met on this journey.

Namaste~

A Good Time to Lay Low

This is a short piece to inform you of the extreme energy building beginning next week--a good time to lay low and focus on creativity and peace.

Wow, the weather here in Washington, DC today (August 3rd) reflects Mars ingress into the sign of Cancer--the temperatures have cooled off  and water weighs heavily in the air. Normally this energy would chill everyone out, but the Moon in Libra squares Mars and tension is in the air.  Additionally Mars is the third planet this summer to activate the early degree cardinal grand cross.  By August 9th, Mars will oppose Pluto and square both Uranus and Saturn.  Whoa!!! this energy is loaded.  Grand crosses are a mixture of extreme conflicting aspects, heightened by the force of the outer planets, Uranus and Pluto.

Mars is all about instinct, drive, lust, competition, hunger and the brute strength to go for it.  Since Aries (Mars sign) comes after Pisces, the culminating sign of the wheel, it represents beginnings and its inherent vigor to sprout from a seedling and push up through cement if necessary to reach its goal.  We see this occur every spring.

This instinct in the sign of Cancer (emotional body of the ego), in square and opposition to the outer planets of deep metamorphosis and r-evolutionary change, is bound to set off collective emotional outrage, in action!!!  Hopefully no hideous Mars expressions will come forth.  Since Mars also makes trine aspects to Neptune and Chiron in Pisces and sextiles Mercury in Virgo, as it begins its retrograde passage into Leo, it is a great time to ride the waves of meditation and higher consciousness.  This energy is quite lovely in the midst of the grand cross.

Generally Mars wants to push forward in active participation, daring to fly where angels fear to tread. So it wouldn't surprise me if we see some direct attacks towards the powers that be and their mismanagement of funds (Cancer is conservative when it comes to money), while grace and love just may save the day.  It all depends on how conscious we are, personally and collectively.

The Cancer archetype seeks shelter-containment from the outer world, so it can nurture the emotional body of others and themselves, that is why it's the sign of Mother and home.  But, the shadow of Cancer wants to control others, keep them close to feed on them rather than take responsibility for its emotional need (possible imbalance) for security.  When the emotions are not managed consciously, our anger builds to hatred, etc.  Mars expressing unconscious emotions, can come out of nowhere in a passive aggressive immature way.

Being mindful, grounded, and deliberate now is important.  This grand cross symbolizes the collective energies we are all dealing with, and Mars adds emotional fuel that may very well be explosive and dangerous.

Bureaucratic-corporate deceit and corruption (Pluto in Capricorn)
The evolutionary impulse to liberate from those structures that no longer serve the Earth or the people (Uranus in Aries)
and, the call for balance (Saturn in Libra)

Mars rules war, aggression.  In opposition to Pluto and square Mars--it's a recipe for unexpected violence or volcanic activity.

August 10th carries a most extreme volatile energy because the moon conjuncts Pluto, influencing the nature of the grand cross in a depressive, fear-based moody cranky irritable kind of way.  Mars and the Moon in hard aspect (opposition) are not happy together, in fact if they are not consciously directed in a healthy outlet (dancing, painting) they implode or explode.

Have you ever had a Cancer or Capricorn person angry with you?  It's not a pretty picture.  Cancer's are moody, cranky, and can be vengeful and Capricorn energy is down right cruel and cold when operating from shadow.

These energies will be with us until August 25th when Mars makes its exact square to Saturn.

The more aware we are of our charts and how Mars ingress into Cancer directly impacts us the more conscious we can be of how to manage this energy, and its specific calling to us.

During this active grand cross-Mercury retrograde time it is best to finish projects you may have started in the past.  It may be a writing project (Mercury begins it retro time 1 Virgo-sign of the writer) you want to complete, or cleaning up some area of your life to make more room for your heart-centered self to come forth.

Collectively Mercury is representative of 'we the people', and is in a fire sign that lets out a loud roar when it's unhappy.  Conscious retrograde periods are times of reflection, renewal, regrouping, reconsideration, rest, relaxation.  The expression of unconscious Mercury retro can lead to miscommunication where the heart is concerned.  When Leo is misunderstood, it gets hurt easily, and can roar the almighty roar, so it's a good time to be mindful our of creative heart life and fuel it by telling ours hearts story.

Express yourself in a creative, fun way.  Connect with your inner child, be mindful of your relationships with the children in your life and express your feelings of love (Leo and Cancer), spend time connecting with your intuition and with what inspires you.  Be a shining expression of grounded mindful love and above all else lay low, this is not the normal Sun in Leo time.

For more about Mercury retro see the previous post.

It's Palpable Out There!

[caption id="attachment_3885" align="alignright" width="240"] Spirit of Fire[/caption]

Can you feel it?  The intensity is palpable!  I sure can.  Yesterday, it seemed wherever I went, people were cranky, easily irritated, upset and ungrounded.  The current transits (grand cross formed by Saturn, Pluto, Uranus and the Sun-Venus, and soon Mars) are heating things up, to put it mildly.

We are being super-charged now.  The effects of the July 14th Capricorn full moon has had an immense impact on us.  It was heightened by three eclipses that occurred one after another (June 1st, June 15th, July 1st) and was then followed up by the current grand cross between Uranus, Pluto, Saturn and the three planets transiting thru Cancer--the Sun, Venus, soon Mars.  These aspects are long-standing, meaning they will be impacting us for months, and stirring up chaotic aggressive energies.

There are many reasons for this:

  • the grand cross is in cardinal signs, initiating new beginnings

  • the outer-planets in the grand cross seek to liberate and unearth our deepest collective and personal shadow conditioning--and there is much resistance to authentic change

  • the transiting Sun, Venus, Mars are square the US Saturn in Libra--Saturn is about Karma and the US is having a Saturn return (not easy or comfortable--very narrowing energy)

  • the effects of eclipses last for as long as six months

In addition to the reasons mentioned above, evolution is speeding everything up (each day it seems) and there is no lag time between our thoughts and there outcomes.  If we are vibrating at a low frequency (negative thinking, fear, judgment rather than compassionate discernment) that's what we will draw to us, thus the importance of initiating in activities and thoughts that support the higher road.  Not an ungrounded idealist or the know-it-all road, but an integrated embodied one, conscious and awake to who we really are (the cosmic truth, thus the importance of not being asleep to our unique contribution to the here and now of the collective evolutionary renaissance at our doorstep).

What I notice when I look at the chart for today is, soon the Sun and Venus will move into Leo and trine Uranus, the planet of liberation (the Sun is already forming a loose trine).  With this aspect of ease and grace connecting with Uranus, there will be surprisingly great speed with which our heart's desire (Leo) occurs.  So be sure to consciously declare that which you want to manifest (fire signs are all about manifestation).  There's plenty of rocket fuel available.

Mercury currently is in Leo, at 23 degrees.  By August 2rd, it will reach 1 degree of Virgo and move into retrograde motion until August 26, when it will move forward again at 18 degrees Leo.

Similar to the previous Mercury retro cycle in Aries, this retrograde period is fueled by planets in the same sign Mercury will retrograde in (Leo).  For those of us who are comfortable being internal and intuitive, this is not a big deal, but for people who like to be in outward action and push the envelope, it may be a difficult time.

A nice addition to all this energy is the upcoming New Moon, which occurs on July 30th at 7 Leo.  This aspect trines Uranus in Aries and adds more fire to the pot.  This will help bring forward that which wanted to initiate in March/April during Mercury's retrograde in Aries.  (There were so many planets in Aries, at the same time Mercury was retrograde, taking action didn't actually occur for some of us.

This Leo time is for create, create, create, but WITHOUT DRAMA!  Leo is all about creativity (performance, art, romance, children, authenticity, golden light) and if its energy isn't channeled in a positive direction, it comes out in an overly dramatic way.  So it's a good idea to be conscious of what we are creating.

Retrograde planets operate more internally, making the effect of the normally direct planet within our psyches either more attuned to its energy or in complete denial of its influence.  This is because retrogrades actually have great force, but that force is being sent in another direction, inward (or backwards), thus Mercury in retrograde engages the intuitive right brain, and needs more literal time to process the thoughts coming through before any apparent action in word or deed is taken.

Now as transiting Mercury begins its retrograde phase, it will help us to engage the right brain because Mercury opposes Neptune--the higher octave of Venus.  Since Mercury rules our thinking process and Leo the heart (and Virgo discernment), the logic of the heart will merge (Neptune) more readily with our compassionate dreams, supporting the collective mind to become inflamed with creative compassion.

What calls to us during Mercury retrogrades are themes such as regrouping, reclaiming, relaxing, regenerating, rejoicing, renegotiating, renewing, and so forth.  When we don't heed the call of the retrograde is when we get into trouble.  Forcing, dominating, etc, will only bring too much fire to the mix and we don't need any additional fire right now.  There's enough electricity available via the evolutionary air waves to fuel us forward, though with Mars moving in to join the Grand Cross in the second week of August, 'we the people' will most likely become enraged (Leo) with the government (see Nancy Sommer's blog for the political overview).

Events that occur(red) during Mercury's initial pass over the mid-to late degrees of Leo to 1 degree of Virgo (15th of July-Aug 2), will become highlighted during Mercury's retrograde period.  Astrologer, Gary Caton, during his lecture series this spring, spoke about the Mercury retrograde cycles for this year, mentioning they all occur in fire signs, thus events that occur during this time will have to do with the element of fire, i.e., volcanic eruption in Italy.  So it's not surprising how hot it is.  Hopefully it won't get worse throughout the retro period, especially the weather!

The heat is on in other arenas too.  How about the Rupert Murdoch scandal?  Mars' transit thru Gemini (in relation to Murdoch's natal chart) brought News Corporations misdeeds to the fore for the world to see--good news for democracy!  Sinister empires are beginning to tumble, revealing to us the shocking positive, potentially scary, disruptive power the Uranus-Pluto squares will bring, as they come more and more into exact aspect (Uranus in Aries--seeks liberation from corporate misuse and control--Pluto in Capricorn).

Personally, I have felt a lot of grace pouring through (from Chiron-Neptune in Pisces) but only when I am aligned with love, non-judgement, and multi-dimensional aliveness (the evolutionary deep knowing and acknowledgement that we are all one).  All the activity in Gemini has squared my intense mutable chart, and now all the Cancer transit activity squares my Mars, which means there is strong potential for others to project their stuff onto me (which has definitely happened) and there is potential for accidents to occur (I fell yesterday).

The way to curb these kind of influences is to be mindful, grounded, and focus on the grace, not the chaotic static electricity flying through the air.  And to continually check-into our internal barometer.  Is your temperature getting fuel from the past (resentments, shame, etc) or is it heartfully embracing the present, and future moments with embodied clarity, compassion, and humility that only come when we are not in our heads, but in our hearts?

Thankfully, I am blessed to have many spiritual reminders to continually stay connected through heart, mind, body and soul, though as an empath it's not always easy!  One of the reminders in my life is Spiritual Belly Dance.  I have been blessed to dance with Clementina Brown for fifteen years.  She recently moved back to the DC area, at least for half the year, and I have been to her class twice.  WOW-its so healing and lovely--I have missed it.

Stay cool emotionally, mentally, and physically (the color blue is very helpful with this).

Wishing us all the very best.

Cancer Lunar Eclipse

The awareness finally came to me this evening, after a full day today, and a week of being blinded by the energy I feel from others (Pluto is transiting my 7th house-clearing karmic relationship residue)--the energy is building, moving us full gear towards Friday's lunar eclipse!  Today the Sun in Cancer is directly opposing Pluto (the Goddess of Power), both at 6 degrees, in square to Uranus in Aries at 4.  Saturn sits in Libra at 10 degrees, filling out this building grand cross (squares and oppositions are stressful aspects), full of extreme emotions and anger or the opportunity to embrace radical responsibility for our emotions and balance.

The red square shows the grand cross of the mentioned planets, all in cardinal, action oriented signs.  Cancer relates to our emotions, our emotional body, and our egos.  Cancer people--Sun, Venus, Mercury, Mars in Cancer and charts with 4th house planets--need space from the outer world to occasionally melt down, so they can feel themselves and their emotional bodies, otherwise they become too sensitive to the emotions/feelings of others.  Without that space Cancer becomes crabby and snaps--literally.  In this lunar chart with Pluto involved, its really important! to have the space to melt down.  Add Uranus into the mix and the energy becomes volatile, either internally or externally, if the need for space isn't honored.

We need this space for several reasons:  1) because transits are collective imprints that we receive from our planetary brothers and sisters, and it's a very good idea to honor their communications to us, and 2), because Cancer not only relates to our emotions, it is linked to our egos.  Some of us need to build up our egos, while others need to downsize.  Either way, the needs of the ego are linked to our personalities, not necessarily to our souls, and our personalities only take us so far in this domino effect type world we are living in.

This lunar eclipse represents the doorway we are incrementally moving into over the next five years, as Pluto and Uranus come into exact square, and how this will impact our ability to manage the Promethean type energy that will impact our emotional bodies, our emotional power in the years to come.

Deep seated fears are resting in us all now, because the outcome, the future is unknown.  Thus getting in touch with what lies in our own personal unknown is of great value for the courageous soul.  The corporate political agenda is darker and more ruthless than possibly ever before (except for the last time Pluto transited in Capricorn in 1765), while economic instability and serious earthly concerns grip our attention.  Pluto in the sign of Capricorn (operating in the shadow, which it is) represents the corruption of wall street, our tyrannically greed driven corporate seized government, and the execution of extreme cutbacks for the middle lower classes. And Uranus in Aries symbolizes the rebels who just won't put up with it anymore (from either side left, right or inbetween).

The challenges we will experience from these squares become exacerbated in the outer world; one, because the powers that be distort natural law (living within our means, living in union with nature...) and two; because our egos have not processed, released, and cleared the emotional baggage it has carried around for eons (and/or this life), and this one life is enough to start with.  Wherever you are feeling challenged right now is your guides, to the areas of your psyche and life that require your attention and care.
If we lived in unison with the elements, we would still be going through significant changes with these transits, but they would be much less extreme and more palatable for our souls to take.  Uranus also represents trauma.

Cancer is the sign of nurturing.  Where do you need to mother yourself?  A healthy mother helps a child feel safe, to express, to receive, to be.  Pluto represents the deeper soul self, so don't be surprised if repressed, painful memories are attempting to push to the surface.  Uranus helps break things open too, so they may come up in a shocking manner.  It we are conscious of the cosmic barometer and embodied, we won't be surprised by the sudden storms that our current times bring.

I've been writing about this radical change on the horizon for some time.  If you can feel, get a sense, of the energy of this eclipse, then you know what I'm taking about.  Remember the sixties, the intensity?  Well, the coming transits are harnessing those exact volatile awakening vibes into new form.  The issues are similar, yet different.  The pot is fuller, and the anti is up.

Neptune's movement into Pisces for the next fourteen years may just be our saving grace.  None of us know exactly what the coming times will bring.  Our best bet is to clean house, practice embodiment, connect and commune with the earth, and release, let go, release, let go, release, let go...

Peace and love,

Summer 2011

Happy Summer Solstice everyone.

This post focuses on bringing mindful attention to the building energy that this summer brings, the US Saturn return, and the forging of new pathways for us personally and collectively.

Yesterday's planetary configuration laid out the collective blueprint for the summer, marking August 28th as the ending of a significant chapter of time (5,125 years), not about the ending of the world, but the ending of the way we live in the world!

We have been living as if there is no cost to garnishing anything we want from the planet, but that time is coming to a close.  The three eclipse chart of the summer (June 1, June 15, July 1) and the summer solstice chart reveal insights into how this summer and the coming times will play out.  Barbara Hand Clow's site, Astroflash, gives extensive insights into them.  She encourages us to print it out so she doesn't have to go over the same themes continuously.

Here, I attempt to translate the charts for those who need less astrological interpretation.   By August 28th the United States will be in a full Saturn return which means all the ground work (governance, financial institutions, policy) that has been laid out since the last Saturn return (thirty years ago, more importantly the last seven years) will be accounted for.  Saturn doesn't like messes--it seeks organization, accountability, and becomes the grim reaper when it needs to clean things up.  The July 1 eclipse brings us another cardinal cross this summer, and leads us to Saturn's return, which also brings us to the beginning of seven exact squares between Uranus (the awakener) and Pluto (the destroyer, rebirther).  What do Uranus in Aries and Pluto in Capricorn want from us?

The best way to work with any body of energy (whether it be planet, human, or a past soul) is to communicate with it, and so we ask. The answer's I get are...

Personally it is an extremely important question, because every choice we make, every thought we focus on is sent out into the universal vortex of creation, the collective galactic mind (for this galaxy--the galactic center, 26 Sag)..

Pluto seeks to eliminate that which is un-useful and dead, so it can rejuvenate it's lifeforce, it's soulful power.  Uranus seeks to radically change what is not in progressive alignment with it's role to lead humanity forward, to its necessary and natural evolution. All this would be much easier if we honored the earth as alive, and were in union with 'all of our relations' (all of life), all of the time.  But we aren't.  We live in a world driven outside of the natural norms--to violate natural law.

Recently, I have been contemplating a few charts with fixed crosses, so the planetary energy of Venus, the Sun, Pluto and Uranus have been on my mind (planets associated with Taurus, Leo, Scorpio, Aquarius).  I then, by happenstance, listened to part of WPFW Earthbeat radio show (with Nick Rosen) which focused on renewal energy, generating your own power off of the grid, and how much 'the people' are wanting to gain independence from the system!  While I listened, my mind kept correlating what they were talking about with the Sun (solar power) and Uranus (electrical energy).  Uranus, now in Aries, which seeks independence from the stagnancy and status quo limitations, while Pluto, in the sign of Capricorn, seeks to demolish systems that are not accountable.

Because the world we live in has been usurped into delusion for thousands of years, especially denying our relationship to planetary influences and their essential life giving energy, the upcoming squares between Uranus and Pluto in Aries and Capricorn have to also manage the distortions we have created here on earth...

Putting Energy Behind Our Intentions

Well, this eclipse has been quite revealing, even though energy from others have spun out of control around me, impacting the serene state of mind I was embodying, ultimately affecting my desirability to merge with the lunar energies that came forth!  I was particularly irritated by this inconvenience because the full moon eclipse was exactly conjunct on my South Node dispositor-Jupiter in Gemini, which has everything to do with my North Node.  Thus these past two eclipses, in Gemini/Sagittarius, carry significant importance for me.

In my chart Jupiter's placement reveals my soul's prior knowledge and function, and my North Node in Gemini reveals my soul's intention (destiny) in this life, to share and communicate about that which is invisible, intangible, unknown, mysterious and unconscious, from a very personal perspective (Mercury in Leo).  All of this is to be conveyed via compassion and empathy, in honor of the position of Jupiter and my North Node (12th house), my Pisces mid-heaven and more.

Natally, Jupiter  sits on my ascendant, just inside the 12th house, conjunct Vesta, along with my my North Node in Gemini.  Jupiter-Vesta and the NN are not conjunct, but they are completely inter-related in my chart and in my being.

To further enhance the Gemini theme in my chart, my Sun and Mercury (the dispositor of my NN) are in the third house of Gemini in the sign of Leo (wow, astrology is mind-boggling!).  And just in case my soul has any resistance to fulfilling its intention (it has), I have three Virgo planets (supposedly also related to Mercury, the ruling planet of Gemini), square the NN to guide me back to Mercury (which is retrograde by the way-that means my thinking process is more intuitive and internal) if I get off track!  Needless to say, I am multi-talented and gifted, as well as multi-challenged!

For years, I have had the desire to publish astrology articles in the Mountain Astrologer magazine, and to author several books I have been writing for close to ten years, but I have had resistance, fear, stumbling blocks, and distractions to dissuade me.  Still, I am always writing (Gemini and Virgo individuals want to write!).  Writing is a natural expression of both signs, and with all the mutable fire, air and earth I have it is no doubt my soul intention is to PUT IT OUT THERE!

Out where?  In the abyss of the collective unconscious~are you sure?  Humm, I may change my mind about this sometimes, but my soul never does, it just keeps on keeping on.  The 12th house is known in medieval astrology as the house of undoing.  Finding one's way with so much Pisces has not been easy.  Traditional Piscean themes include delays, late arriving, late-bloomer, not discovered until mid-life or later, addictions, confusion, boundaries issues...need I say more.  Thank goodness, Gemini sits in my 12th house.  It cuts right through the mind fog and gets to the point.

Mercury, Gemini's ruling planet, mythologically relates to Hermes, the God of light-footed swiftness.  My Gemini planets in the 12th house act as psychopomp for souls, encouraging a high degree of intuitive communication since childhood with souls past (and animals, trees, and fairies too).

After much intensity this week, I went to bed last night exhausted and awoke at 3AM.  I immediately wanted to write, and saw an email from a new found writer-astrologer friend.  She invited me to attend the UAC 2012 Conference.  While I was looking at the site, I tuned into the professional astrology associations listed.  One in particular drew my attention (OPA) and I noticed an upcoming conference in November here on the east coast.  As I explored their website, I found courses that support astrologers becoming professionals, plus an article that spoke so deeply to the yearning within me to continue my astrological training and join with like minded professionals, I began to cry from relief.

Sometime after the 1999 Solar Eclipse in Leo, I began seriously looking at schools-styles of astrology to study.  The two avenues I explored just didn't fit, and I eventually studied professionally with one particular astrologer for two years, which led to a plethora of problems for me personally, and derailed my trust in ever studying again with another astrology  teacher, though I did deepen my astrological abilities in language, understanding and awareness.  Prior to that, I studied on my own for seventeen plus years.

In those moments, I came home to myself.  With this new decision, all the layers that attempted to come forth and integrate several years before, synchronized before me and merged into my being.  Now, I knew that committing to a massage practice at NIHA was a step backwards.  What I needed, wanted, was more astrology skills to enhance my confidence, to go for it all the way, to jump into the abyss and rise, rather than sink or swim.

Over the years, many schools of astrology have held my attention, and I especially appreciate those that delve deeply, but I need structure to help me navigate the deep waters of mutability, otherwise I get overwhelmed.  Just as massage school provided for me years before when all my deep karmic layers unearthed, fresh new astrological training will do for me now.

Now is the time to fully commit to my Gemini north node, and honor my south node dispositor with no holds bar, giving voice to the Virgo-Pisces culture doctor within.  I love bodywork too and will most likely give intuitive integrative massage and core development sessions for the rest of my life, but my heart is in expressing myself via writing, and in counseling, healing (archetypal and other), and communicating.

Gemini is the perpetual student, and always learning.  That's why I love astrology so much, the learning is never ending.  There is so much to it, one could learn for eons.  Caroline Casey once described my Jupiter in Gemini, as "eating information systems for lunch"!  Her descriptions of my chart describe me to a T.

I am becoming myself, as Astrotherapist, who specializes in creative self realization-actualization.  Thanks to our most recent eclipses, (and Alison Gunn for directing me to UAC and encouraging my writing) I have signed up for my first official astrology course via the Organization for Professional Astrologers retreat in November.  There's a writing workshop too!.  This calls for a coming out party!

Sacred Feminine & the Divine Mother

For centuries the sacred feminine, the impregnated virgin, survived underground, split off from the collective mind and soul, due to patriarchal conditioning.  Now, as we move forward in the early stages of the twenty-first century, the Goddess Matriarch is awakened and ever present.

What is posted here is a taste of the compilation of visions, dreams, personal journey, prayers, and rituals, as well as, a creative weaving of astrological data, archetypes and research regarding the Sacred Feminine--shared in dedication to those who seek to understand and embody the feminine, and those who are pioneering and forging conscious pathways within themselves  and the world.

The wisdom of what I call the Sacred Feminine (all things feminine), particularly the many faces of Mary and the conscious embodiment of personal power are woven throughout.

Our writings speak directly to the current times with a message for the collective.

As we individually and collectively walk out of victim hood and out of the shadow, through fears, illusions, betrayals, and self-sabotage we embrace the pool of aliveness, the call of wholeness, and merge with the Goddess and the collective renaissance emerging now.

The Blessed Mother Divine and the Sacred Feminine have filled mine eyes with love, touched my mind with vision, and filled my soul with light.

In autumn of 2004, a gifted young woman, Nicole, initiated a circle of intuitive women to gather once a month on the full moon.

The intention of the group was to channel information about how to work with the web of the Earth in support of furthering planetary healing for all of Earth’s inhabitants.  As we gathered each month we set an intention and meditated to receive guidance of how we were to direct our time together.  We drummed, danced, sang and surely channeled our individual and collective insights as our clairvoyance came forward.

After each gathering, I began having profound dreams and visions related to the feminine.  By late October I had a waking visionary visitation from Mary Magdalene, Guinevere and the Lake of the Lake.

Since then I have had continuous visions.

Yeah! Some Earth

Finally, a breath of fresh air.  The Sun is in Taurus, mid-degrees, and now Mars is in Taurus with Jupiter, Venus, and Mercury soon to follow suit.  With two personal planets (Venus/Moon) in feminine earth signs, I welcome the complimentary energy and groundedness of Taurus, even though Taurus squares my Leo Sun/Mercury.

Have you noticed how pleasant the weather is (at least here in Maryland)?  That's Taurus' beauty wafting through the air, as flowers bloom, gardens prosper, and more fresh vegetables and fruits are available to choose from at the local farmer's market.  Yes, the plodding stable energy of Taurus yields plentiful rewards, when we consistently seed ourselves in present time and cultivate future stability.

Nurturing our earth, our bodies, our relationships, and our ability to love ourselves by creating sustainable futures, both personally and collectively, is the essence of Taurus.  Ruled by Venus, Taurus yields the pleasure factor.  But like all fixed signs Taurus can be bull-headed, focused only on the practical.  The blessing of our personal and collective zodiacs though  combine (hopefully) of all the elements.  So if we have Venus in Taurus, we may have Mercury Gemini, which helps us be flexible in our thinking, supporting Venus to be more open to new ideas and venues while creating a comfortable life, or comfortable relationships with our home planet.

As Jupiter, Venus and Mercury move into Taurus the themes of relationships: to the Earth and our personal material life (finances, possessions, sexuality, our physical bodies) will come to the surface.  How all this plays out in our lives, depends on where Taurus is in our charts (what house) and how it interacts with the rest of our natal chart.  For me all these Taurus planets will trine my 8th house Moon and my 4th house Venus (this is good, yay hoo!).  The sign of Taurus rests in in my 11th house (and in the 12th) of friends, communities, awakening, humanitarian change.  Because of the trine aspects to my other earth planets, I will easily meet others and form rich rooted relationships, while also gaining support (financial and otherwise) to move my home, and manifest many long-term goals (and so on).  This is not to say, I won't feel pressure (student loans, rebuilding my home life) will not be there, but the means it is dealt with will flow.

If have a lots of planets in the other fixed signs (Leo, Scorpio, Aquarius) we may not enjoy this time so much.  I definitely didn't enjoy all those planets in Aries! even though they are compatiable with my Leo, too much Aries is not so with my Capricorn Moon/Libra Mars.  They have a strong distaste for so much impulsive energy.

Next week, on the 17th, we will experience a Full Moon in Scorpio 26 degrees, with the Taurus Sun 26 degrees.  Venus, Mercury and Mars will be in the early degrees of Taurus in trine aspect to Pluto in Capricorn.  This is a great time for business growth and opportunity, and a time for sincere efforts to make head-way in our collective goals towards sustainable living on earth.  The shadow of Pluto in Capricorn operates much like Scrooge in The Christmas Carol.  Let's make this nurturing earthy time one of building on the ancient wisdom and authority of Capricorn to oversee and care for all the mouths on this planet seeking shelter, nourishment, and love.

Taurus is an erotic sign, linked with pleasure.  What could be more erotic than becoming embodied, living sustainably from and with the earth (let's compost!), breathing in clean air and drinking clean water, and eating food from sustainable conscious farms?  During this Taurean time, we may be challenged to take our desires and meeting our basic needs to a new level.  If we are struggling to make ends meet, or want to create new goals, or build more solid foundations to stand on, we will make the greatest gains by applying consistent discipline, taking it one day at a time, one step at time, with the stability and endurance Taurus offers us.

In love, beauty, and greenly pleasures, Namaste.

Sabian Symbol for Scorpio 26:
A group of American Indians are making camp. As if by magic the teepees are erected and home comfort established.
Sabian Symbol for Taurus 26:
A Spanish gallant stands at the window grill of his love, serenading her with the softer melodies of night.

Mother Earth Messengers

Today, winged and multi-legged creatures of the earth send me clarity, just as Mercury begins to set forth in direct motion tomorrow April 23rd in the early morning at (12 Aries) 5:58 AM Eastern time.

Yeah, finally clarity arises!!!!!!!!!!!  What a month, huh?  For me, Mercury stationed retrograde and formed a T-square to my natal Moon-Mars square, at the same time transiting Uranus combust my natal Ceres and opposed my progressed Moon, Mercury and Sun.  It was just too much, as my previous post clearly stated.  Now, it's time to celebrate all this Aries without having to hold back.  (It's not that much fun when you're driving a sports car and the light is red for twenty-four days!)

Back to Mother Earth and her messengers.  This morning as I was getting ready for my day (loaded with new home and career themes) a baby centipede greeted me in the bathroom.

Centipede Medicine: Centipede brings the message of new psychic connections and relationships; protection against psychic deceptions; provide stability and enable forward movement; environments symbolic of creative, psychic, and emotional areas. Finding an environment, supportive to their creative and psychic sensibilities, will be necessary for their health and well-being.
Ted Andrews

Then, on my way back from my ventures this afternoon, a hawk flew down from the rafters, in the pouring rain, spreading it's wings out right across my windshield, just as I asked Spirit a specific question about moving.  Hawks have always carried significant meaning for me, clarifying 'yes or no' answers and more.  I haven't received a message from one in a long time either, and thus I know without the shadow of a doubt, the red-tailed beauty sent me a message of deliverance, releasing me from the holding pattern my Spirit has been in.

Hawk Medicine:  Hawk is the Messenger, the Protector and the Visionary of the air.  Along with Owl, it has the keenest eyes of the raptors.  This powerful bird can awaken the Visionary within you, and lead to your life purpose.  It is the Messenger, and when it shows up pay attention; there is always a message coming.  Once Hawk shows up, it will stay with you permanently.  This powerful bird can awaken your visionary power, open your higher chakras to hear the messages to the Universe.
There are many types of hawks found throughout the world, and each has medicine specific to their individual types. However, there are characteristics that apply to all hawks that will be addressed here. Red-tail Hawks are the most numerous of the hawk family. The color red symbolizes the “kundalini,” the seat of the primal life force, the root chakra (sexuality). Once activated the Hawk may enter and start to show you how to move toward your soul/life purpose more dynamically by empowering and fulfilling your visions.

Hawk teaches you how to soar to great heights while keeping your feet firmly on the ground, to grow spiritually, to live in this earth plane but not be a part of it but to expand to much greater dimensions. As smaller birds occasionally attack hawks, you are likely to be attacked by smaller people who do not understand your lofty beliefs or gifts. These people may try to impede your great ability to soar, to keep you grounded in their version of reality.

Because of this strong Hawk energy, this intensified life force activated by this totem, you must be careful how you express yourself. As the Hawk, you will develop the ability to use your words as he uses his beak and talons to rip the heads off snakes; i.e.,the enemies or disbelievers in your life. Be mindful of your words so as not to shred those who oppose you, but take the higher road and fly above them and their way of thinking. Deliver your messages with tact and patience.

The average life span of a hawk is up to 14 years. This is significant. The Temperance Card is Trumps 14 in the Major Arcana of the Tarot. This card represents balance and flow, a good mix or combination, and the teaching of higher expression of psychic abilities and vision. It is also tied to archetypal forces that teach beauty, harmony and moderation that hold the keys to a higher level of consciousness; to access the Christ within yourself and develop its energies in order to fulfill your soul purpose in this life time.

The sky is Hawk’s realm, and through its flight it communicates with Heaven and the Great Creator Spirit, and conveys that knowledge to Earth: Hawk medicine unites Heaven and Earth.

Slaying the Jabberwalky

I've been caught in a retrograde galactic egoic patriarchal mind fuck!  I think that sums it up perfectly.  I connected with who I really am, and then I forgot.  Saturn transits have a nice way of doing that, putting us in the 3rd dimension.  But I will speak for myself--it sucked.

Now, post Aries New Moon and Mercury retrograde, I have sacred psychic physical space from the world and my housemate to remember~I remember, I remember who I am!  I'm sure that's a big relief to my cosmological friends, who I have whined to for awhile now.  I know it's a relief to me.

I'm a galactic soul of the entire universe, made up by multiple galaxies, and I came here with a specific purpose.  Many of you don't know that my life changed dramatically several years ago, after experiencing an injury on an airplane and not working for a year.  That, and the fact that I was living on a humble income prior to the accident, coupled with many challenging events all occurring at the same time, I became one of the folks who lost their homes to foreclosure in the spring of 2008.  In fact, I became close to destitute, something I hadn't experienced before.  All of this, plus living with souls who don't value evolution the way I do, challenging me to the enth degree, and forced me to deal with he mundane.  Man life sucks without living evolutionary consciousness in every moment.

Anyway, the world is now rocketing into galactic warp speed with Uranus' movement into Aries (the ending on an 84 year cycle and the beginning of a new one) and I need to put my galactic thinking cap on to catch up.  When I traveled to Peru several years ago, after receiving direct guidance that I would win the trip and travel there with a group of conscious souls, I experienced the greatest level of joy and abundance I have ever felt.  And for the first time I realized how cosmic and galactic my soul was, and is.

Tonight, while updating one of my websites, I was looking for a drawing of grandmother moon to post with one of my articles.  I Googled 'grandmother moon' and I found the photo/drawing I was looking for.  It was linked to a blog, Galactic Culture, which totally awakened me in an instant.  After reading through some of the posts, I realized the reason nothing is opening/moving for me, (I'm looking for a new place to call home) I am too focused on the practical mundane security of this world.  Ha, what a joke!  This world is falling apart if you hadn't noticed.  The only outcome of me focusing on this 3 Dimension world would bring  further calamity into my life.

Having said that, my cat Bear was just diagnosed with lung cancer and I spent the money I needed for the 1st month's rent for a new place and three of the jobs I had lined up for April cancelled--all within a matter of two days.  Retro Mercury is squaring my Cap Moon square natal Mars--ouch!

I'm through the worst of the consequences of going bankrupt and foreclosing on a house, and rebuilding my business.  Now, the only reasonable solution for me is to awaken to the true cosmological truth of who I am.  This knowledge will lead me to where I need to be, who I need to be with, and how to continue to fulfill my soul's purpose and intention (I can hear Ari Moshe in my head reminding us that resistance is part of the soul's journey).  So even though I have been in a rabbit hole detour, I can slay the Jabberwalkie, drink it's purple blood, jump into this cosmic roller coaster we are all on, strap my seat belt on and liberate my soul from the trappings of the ego patterns of fear, doubt, left-brained traffic jams, and devolution.

To further your galactic mind, drink this galactic juice, an educational, authentic, open-minded perspective on the healing crisis every soul on this planet, and the planet is undergoing.  We are all in this together, we are all one family.

Awaking Up!

Astrological Perspectives

As many of you know I am an avid astrological enthusiast, with a mutable grand cross in my chart,  along with mutable angles and a mutable nodal axis (in fire/air) fueled by my Sun and Mercury in Leo.  I was drawn to astrology in my teen years as a moth is drawn to a flame.  As I approached my early twenties, I began to study astrology (and metaphysics) as a tool to better understand myself and gain some understanding of the complexities of my psyche and my life.  Later, after much healing and awakening, I focused on astrology to grasp the movement of the collective as well, rather than depend solely on the lens of the daily chronicles.

I truly appreciate the larger context astrology operates from and its diverse perspectives (archetypal, mythological, psychological, mathematical, mundane, scientific, astronomical), and have found the rhythm of the planets to be an accurate barometer of both personal and collective temperatures.

With a 60's Generational Signature (Uranus-Pluto in Virgo opposite Chiron in Pisces) personalized by Venus, Saturn and the nodes, I am a seeker of authentic transformation and integration via holistic healing, integrative bodywork, body-centered psychology, mythology, shamanism, the reclamation of the Goddess and spirituality, as well as many artistic pursuits (art, dancing, writing, jewelry making).  In other words, I am drawn to the language of the soul.

I began to seriously study astrology (and archetypes) in my early twenties, driven by a sincere need to transport myself out of the unconscious world of addiction and dysfunction.  The language of astrology offered me a means to cognitively understand the struggles and extremes of my life, while visually feeding my creative and analytical mind.  The map of my personal zodiac, described my first astrology reading ever (1995) from Caroline Casey, described me to a T, revealing a complex, intense, fiesty, depressed, creative firey person!  I was thoroughly impressed.  Casey seemed to know everything about me, my background, and even my parents, though I had never met her before!  That August I laid under the stars on the beach and saw my first falling stars ever during the Perseid meteor shower.

This new found genre of data helped me manage the painful lessons of my soul's quantum intention.  As time moved along, I went further, deeper via evolutionary astrology into understanding my soul's past conditioning, and its intention to transform and metamorphosize out of those past conditioned patterns (trauma, fear, guilt suppression~Virgo) through self-love, compassion and service to God'dess.

The language of astrology continually encourages me forward through cycles of growth, around the wheel of time, beyond the limitations of my personality, my addictions, and my resistance to evolve, towards my heart and my sou desire to serve through compassion.  Resistance includes karmic deep seated patterns of fear to change and spiritually evolve and devote to a spiritual path, to publishing my books (big one for me in this life), and become my true self.

I love this language.  When  it is embodied, it offers the seeker a progressive perspective, which is both deeply profound and accurate.  Evolutionarily speaking, astrology is means to release the ancient past and access the gifts of our evolving present, empowering our personal and collective future.

Oh no! more Uranus

It amazing how Mercury retrograde gets me to write every time!  I haven't written on my blog in months.  The new year brought with it bronchitis and early stages of pneumonia, then lovely Cleopatra moved through the final stages of her life in late January and most of February.  March definitely has blown in like a storm with loads of business, and now just as we enter into April and Mercury retrograde, three of my big jobs for the month canceled, and Bear Bear, my beloved long-haired beauty has become ill suddenly.  Uranus is now 1 degree of Aries and opposing Bear's Venus in Libra and my progressed Sun in Libra.  After Uranus opposing all my Leo and Virgo planets, along with Saturn visiting for an extended stay, and Neptune square Neptune, I'm not sure I can take anymore of Uranus' velocity!

I certainly welcome all the fire, but not the sudden destabilization that comes with Uranus oppositional energy.  It's all to similar to the events of my early youth, when Uranus and Pluto crossed through my fifth house and met up with Mars, Neptune and my moon, while squaring my natal Sun and Mercury.  Somehow it feels that too much is happening all at once.  My sisters are having difficulties, I feel my health (my heart) is challenged, and my animals are aging and passing, all in the midst of our collective radicalization (is that a word? it is now).

Welcome

For centuries the sacred feminine, the impregnated virgin, survived underground, split off from the collective mind and soul, due to patriarchal conditioning. Now, as we move forward in the early stages of the twenty-first century, the Goddess Matriarch is awakened and ever present in her ancient and evolutionary form.

This site is a compilation of visions, dreams, personal journey, prayers, poetry and rituals, as well as, a creative weaving of astrological data, archetypes and research regarding the Sacred Feminine--shared in dedication to those who seek to understand and embody the feminine, and those who are pioneering and forging conscious pathways within themselves and the world.

VENUS RISING
Uranian Goddess Rises through my feet and births me home.

Roots of my origin pulsate crimson, orange and gold.

Transformed and rising up from the ashes comes forth Venus,
In her most virginal earthy self.

Blest by the harvest, her sustenance Awakens Heaven.
Goddess of Compassion pours sacred healing Wisdom into my crown.

Embodied in deep evolutionary beauty,
my Soul is anointed in Heaven & Earth.

Star of Venus Illumination

Today I am going through my belongings (packed for the last three years), sorting through and repacking, preparing to move everything to storage.  I felt Mary strong all day yesterday and originally felt to go to Summit Lighthouse for this mornings service.

I listened intently each moment on what was best for me to do, stay home, do my laundry and pack or go to the service.  I stayed home, and all day heard songs of Mary singing in my head.  Later I went upstairs to eat a late breakfast.  While sitting at the dining room table I was contemplating teaching animal communication in location out in Clarksburg, just as I considered this, I felt the star of Venus illuminate my entire head.  Mary was sending me a clear signal to move forward with my idea.

Later I got in the car to drive to see an animal communication client and my hands and feet had the star of Venus vibrating in them and my cranium continued to feel the presence as well.  The vibration of Venus was running through my entire body, blessings were pouring out of me.  Mary, dear Mary, how I love thee.
