Winter Solstice Full Moon Eclipse

Here we are at the darkest point of year and at the second to last phase of the 2010 cardinal climax (the last phase occurs March 13 as Uranus crosses the Vernal Aries Point).

Mercury, now in Capricorn, went retrograde on December 10th, and moves backward into Sagittarius on the 19th of December. But before Mercury gets there, he crosses over Pluto, Mars and the North Node in Capricorn.

This combination of forces, particularly Mars and Pluto (not great bedfellows) with retrograde Mercury asking us to slow down and sincerely consider our actions, i.e., are they responsible, are they soulful, are they strong, do they build community, has the potential to encourage raging tempers, power struggles, road rage and the like, especially if we are frustrated by things ruled by Saturn-Capricorn, such as our career, debt, housing issues--potentially many Americans. Capricorn rules bones, knees, and joints too. So it's best to be mindful of our actions over the next week, and release any pent up feelings in a healthy responsible way. Here we are at the darkest point of year and at the second to last phase of the 2010 cardinal climax (the last phase occurs when Uranus moves back into Aries March 13 and crosses the Vernal Aries Point).  Mercury, now in Capricorn, will retrograde on December 10th and move back into Sagittarius.  The day of the Full Moon Eclipse, December 21st, the Gemini Full Moon will oppose the Sun at 29 Sagittarius.  Mercury (the ruler of Gemini) and Magdalena both at 26 Sagittarius sit right on the Galactic Center point, three degrees from the Sun, and Pallas Athene sits on the other side of the Sun (o degrees) conjunct the North Node at 2 Capricorn--all of this just after the nodes have crossed over Pluto in Capricorn (Pluto is still a planet--yea think!).

When I look at this chart, slated for 2:41am EST, the beginning of the Total Eclipse, the rising sign is o Scorpio.  This puts Venus, our beautiful retrograde traveler, now direct in Scorpio in the first house of the chart, at the very degree (13) she began her retrograde motion in earlier in November.  I mention this because the other significant themes I see in this chart, other than all the outer planets in aspect to the Moon, aside from numerous asteroids not mentioned, are the feminine powerhouses and the suppressed Virgin, Magdalena, highlighted in a major way.

No other astrologers I know, except for a few female astrologers, even consider Magdalena in their readings.

With Venus in the first house, in Scorpio, Magdalena and Mercury on the GC point, our collective minds are ready for some major insight, learning, awareness to occur.  The shadow of the repressed feminine (instilled by patriarchal religions and society) during this eclipse is bound to rise to the surface to be seen, in a visible (and felt) way.

The second house is loaded with the Sag planets (how we make our money, want we value, stability.  Pluto, NN and Mars are in the third creating lots of mental brooding and obsessing, as well as , actions.  The Moon in the eighth, bringing up our hidden emotions, and Saturn in Libra in the 12th is working from behind the scenes.

The Final Stages of Venus Retrograde (in Libra)

Venus, now in late degree Libra, continues to retrograde, taking us deeper into our relationships, with ourselves and others. Natally I have Mars in the 5th house of romance in Libra 23 degrees in square relationship with the Moon in the 8th house of interpersonal relations, in the sign of Capricorn at 24 degrees.

My Mars appreciates fiery heart-centered actions oriented towards fun loving competition balanced with integrity and refined relating, especially with men. My moon (my ego and emotional body) is supposedly reserved in Capricorn, and desires deep committed sacred sexual union through committed partnership, sharing energetic resources (power, money) which source from the tantric-shamanic realms. Mars in the 5th in Libra learns through a variety of sexual partners, while Moon in Cap in the 8th seeks serious lasting connections rather than the thrill of fleeting romance.

Since Venus moved out of Scorpio and into Libra, it is closing in on my Mars Moon square and deep feelings about past relationships and patterns, and finances have been brewing uncomfortably within me. Thank goodness for the deep loving friendships in my life, especially with my tantric oriented friends, who tonight reminded me of my relationship with the inner masculine and I feel so much better. I went to the website he suggested, Deep Masculine, and read most of the blog. It totally nurtured me, especially the post about apologies. I also scheduled an appointment with psychotherapist/astrologer for tomorrow to talk about this aspect within my chart, to integrate deeper.

The Mars Moon square not only expressed in my relationship with my mother, it has been a glaring one in my relationships with men! especially in choosing men who honor feminine wisdom (Capricorn). (Somehow I kept meeting men with Aries Moon creating a T-square with my Mars Moon). Lots of men can't handle women in their power, or feel threatened by it, and I haven't always chosen wisely, especially several years ago when Pluto was crossing my descendant.

For me, when my feelings finally come to the surface, the universe always reflects in loving ways and did so tonight. In my grief and deep desire to invite, allow, heal my relationship patterns, I consulted The Goddess Inspiration Oracle via Kris Waldherr's website (totally wonderful). First I received the Astarte card when I asked about a relationship that I felt mortified about--Astarte is totally connected to Venus and the relationship I was in! The card says, "Use the past as a lesson. Move forward with love."" Then I asked about my confusion and I got the Earth card, then I asked a more clarifying question and received the Hera--Goddess of Marriage card which says, "You can ask for respectful relationships." I totally cried in relief of being understood, heard, and supported to create anew.

This may all seem like a no-brainer for the logical intellect, but when emotions, unconscious patterns, and our sexuality are involved, it takes what it takes. ususally a great deal of continued courage, willingness, and wisdom to transform our relational issues.

Venus Retrograde in Scorpio

Today I feel motivated to write about Venus retrograde in Scorpio, even though the transit began back on October 8th. Almost everywhere I go I meet or know people who are having deep relational issues. The backward movement of Venus in the deep penetrating sign of Scorpio is forcing repressed, unconscious areas of our lives to bubble to the surface and even boil-over. For some of us, uncomfortable and painful conversations and choices are being made, while others are appreciating the healing balm Venus Scorpio brings, reaping the rewards for being in holistic relationship with ourselves. In the long run the choices made now will benefit all involved, but initially we are pushed beyond our normal limits, especially if we are not used to addressing our psychological soul selves.

I am loving the depth and solidity retrograde Venus in Scorpio offers. Scorpio represents many things: the unconscious, deep feelings, passion, power, feminine, healing, our psychology, our resistance to grow/change, our intensity, and our money. Venus, she's all about what we value, our relationships, our personal belongings, our sense of balance, beauty, security. The shadow of Scorpio: obsession, dark, sinister, evil. What remains in the unconscious can express in the shadow if not transformed and brought into the light. That is why Scorpio deals with the underworld, transformation, death, rebirth and is represented by the Phoenix or the Eagle. Shadow Venus expressions are codependency, attachment, stubbornness, emotional extremes, mental imbalances.

Pisces:Addictions, Recovery, Boundaries & Healing

A few years after beginning what I call "conscious recovery", which includes sobriety and abstinence from drugs, alcohol, cigarettes, excessive sugars and addictive relationships, and the inclusion of bodywork, family of origin psychodrama, and of course the incorporation of spiritual life, I discovered deep integrative healing for the maladies of my soul.

I had been into astrology for a couple of years, reading every book I could get my hands on, including Evolutionary Astrology, to help me understand the complexity of my life.  With several years of group therapy and in-patient codependency treatment under my belt, as well as, being a second semester massage student, I was ready for more support.

In the recovery world it is suggested to have sponsor to help you learn how to live sober--physically, emotionally, mentally and spiritually.  This person, the sponsor, usually has more recovery time and has something of substance or value that one is attracted to, like a balanced life, or a behavior or willingness that we ourselves are seeking to attain.  The sponsor encourages the new-comer to apply the "steps" of recovery to all their problems and affairs, assisting them in the process of discovering a "new way of life."

I had been more than willing to get a sponsor, even though I was initially fearful of it and of taking up the sponsors time.  But I got over that fast.  In no time I was calling my sponsor every day, sometimes three times a day, especially in the beginning.  In addition to going to meetings, working the steps and talking with a sponsor regularly, I also pursued "outside help."  Drugs and alcohol weren't as much of a problem for me as excruciating chronic pain, and other addictions; food, unhealthy relationships, and strained painful relationships with my parents (4th house Pluto--loaded!).

I definitely reached for outside help, mostly because the fifth dentist I had seen for TMJ suggested Neuro-muscular massage as a treatment method for my head, neck, shoulder and back pain.  His suggestion was a miracle for sure (are miracles the realm of Pisces? I think so).  The afternoon after my visit to the dentist, I went home and discovered a massage therapist who specialized in Neuro-muscular massage and lived right down the hall from my apartment!  I was one month sober at the time.

Conscious touch-massage in combination with all the other support I was now allowing into my life opened the way for my true self to emerge. I finally experienced relief from the constant pain.  The therapist gave me homework to do in-between sessions.  Mainly to sit everyday, even for just five minutes and breath into my body.  Oh, God that was challenging, because it hurt so much.  What I learned in my sessions and in my meditation times was that I buried all my emotions and all the trauma I had gone through in my family of origin (and from past lives).  I was crawling out of a black hole and was barely to the surface.  My new sober spiritual life; prayer, meditation, metaphysics, new friends, helped balance out the darkness, but I was certainly depressed and weighed down by the ancestral patterns, unconscious abuse memories struggling to the surface .  Thank goodness for my Jupiter in Gemini on the ascendant! and the north node in the 12th (said to be benevolent).  Spirit always carried me through.

Shortly thereafter, my mother died suddenly (1993) just as Neptune and Uranus approached my natal moon in Capricorn, in the 8th house.  In the first five years of recovery building up to this time, Saturn had moved through the upper left quadrant of my chart and was soon approaching my Midheaven/10th house of Pisces--my Saturn return was approaching.

Bodywork and massage addressed the excruciating pain I had been in since early adolescence.

Boundaries, energy body, porous, cellular healing....

A child of the 1960's, with Uranus Pluto Venus conjunct opposing Chiron and Saturn, all square the nodes; I'm definitely not a surface individual.  I need depth in my relationships and life.

I went further into addressing the Post Traumatic Stress issues I had been carrying since childhood.  I had been in group therapy for several years and to treatment for codependency and adult children of alcoholics

A child of the sixties, affected by the intensity of the times via a personal signature adhered to the outer-planet aspects which defined the times, Uranus conjunct Pluto in Virgo in opposition to Chiron in Pisces.

,  and A planetary signature of the 1960's, Chiron in Pisces, is once again in the sign of oneness, spirituality, compassion, intuition, medicine, and healing.  For the next eight years (May 2010-May of 2018) Chiron will influence us from the mystical and sensitive realms of Neptune's domain.

The the sixties, Chiron opposed the planets Uranus/Pluto in Virgo

Pisces also rules addiction, disillusionment, overwhelm and boundaries--a lack there of.

During this eight year transit, we will witness the bridging of science, medicine, healing, and spirituality (at least if the conventional power mongers don't...).  All tributaries of Pisces, merging during this time, birthing Quantum Physics full fledged into the collective paradigm.

Many additional factors will play into the next eight years as well, namely Neptune's ingress into Pisces, and the ongoing T-square dance Uranus, Pluto and Saturn are doing.

These next eight years also ushers in "Chiron Returns" for the Chiron in Pisces generation of the 1960's (those born 60-68), offering them another opportunity to directly face and heal the wounds from the past.

, integrate and become the channels of light they were born to be.  Before we go into that let's keep it simple and learn about Chiron and Pisces.

Here's the short version of Chiron's mythology.  Chiron, fathered by Kronus (Saturn) and the nymph, Philyra, was born half-man, half-horse, due to Philyra turning herself into a mare to quickly flee Kronus's advances.  In turn, Kronus turned himself into a stallion and soon conquered and raped Philyra, and Chiron was conceived.  Upon Chiron's birth Philyra was abhorred by Chiron's appearance and thus rejected and abandoned him.  Fortunately, Apollo the Sun God adopted parentless Chiron and taught him to be a healer.

Takoma Diaries

The rain falls this morning as I sit at my month long pet-sitting job with two beautiful dogs in an old Victorian house in Takoma Park, Maryland. Its quaint charm is beginning to rub off on me as the dogs and I meander everyday, three times a day, through this multi-culturally diverse dog and cat loving community, filled with writers, artists, musicians, environmentalists and politically left progressives.

Etched into once-wet cement and painted on fences everywhere is the peace sign of the 1960's.  It appears endlessly around town if you're looking, while the quality of acceptance seems to float in the air.

Known as Azalea city, and named after Tacoma, WA, Takoma Park is as close to Montpelier, Vermont, the hometown of my Alma-mater, as I'm going to get minus the clean air, mountainous wilderness and terrain, while living in the Washington, DC metropolitan area.

Nuclear free, co-op oriented, award winning recyclers and supporters of local small business, Takoma Park is filled with families birthed forth from the Pluto in Leo groupie generation.  The rest of us fill in the spaces in-between. Named after Tacoma WA, Takoma Park proffers an Organic Falafal stand, The Big Bad Woof-shopping for the socially conscious pet (where I work one day a week), and many other small businesses.

Pluto Demoted

The energy seems loaded today. I feel an impending-doom like energy, all the while, I'm maintaining a positive and somewhat productive posture, although I am needed more sleep than usual (Saturn is conjunct my progressed Sun 1 degree Libra).

In the last throws of attaining a bachelor's liberal arts degree, I have two more papers to write, 30 more Statistics questions to answer, including making graphs and charts, as well as the writing of tri-weekly discussions with my classmates. All of this has to be done by August 12th when I leave for Vermont. Graduation is on the 18th and then I'm free to give my full attention to healing, writing, and being present to our ever-increasing purpose--to evolve!

It seems we are stuck in the past as a culture (what culture?) focused on the Home of the Proud & Brave (the corrupt corporate mega-monopolies). On the forum we are currently discussing the natal map of the United States, dated July 4, 1776, 2:13AM, Philadelphia, PA, as well as looking at the current and upcoming evolutionary astrological transits which impact each of us and ou nation--with the backdrop of our discussions reflecting the misuse and abuse of global resources, as well as the issue of human behavior changing the environment and ecology of the planet on a biological level.

Maryland Earthquake

I didn't sleep well last night and was up very early and meditating. An alarm clock started going off (strange, we don't set them) and I got up and turned it off. When I sat back down I thought an airplane was going to crash in the back yard. Then I thought a massive truck was going down the street, then I knew--it was the earth. She was quaking.

Wow, it was intense, and not even that big on the Richter scale (3.7)! I got on Facebook to see if anyone else felt it and friends confirmed they had felt it too.After talking about it a little, I thought, I guess Mother Earth needs a few chiropractic adjustments. I posted this activity on an astrology forum I participate in and here's what astrologer Maurice Fernandez said about it, "We all need to be very careful about accidents during these coming weeks, and then of course seismic activity is to be expected".

Maryland has never had this kind of seismic activity before. Most quakes experienced here did not originate within the state. NY also had one 3 weeks ago.

Funny thing--I was wondering if Maryland had Virgo near the IC (the bottom of the chart--essentially homebase of the chart)?  I've lived here all these years, with Virgo on my IC so I'm biased, so I looked into further. I figured out how to bring up the Astro World Map and Mars in Virgo is running right through Maryland and along the entire east coast (and China--don't ask me to explain too complicated). Solar Eclipse

Solar Eclipse today in Cancer, the sign of mother-love. This eclipse opens us to a new world order if we so choose to participate in nurturing, caring, and loving our mother, ourselves, our living womb~Mother Earth and all of her kin.

So much is happening at such a rapid rate now and so many are attuned to the hype of 2012, we may just miss the message of our birthing here and now. It begins in our hearts, minds, and souls. We each have a specific path to follow in this life, and if evolution has anything to do with yours, the time is now to awaken from our sleep induced by the illusion (that we are powerless) the outdated world order projects, and has projected into the collective for eons (inducing fear, phobias via unconscious religion, the media, processed foods, overuse of pharmaceuticals, corporate exploitation of the earth...)

I am so moved by the energies of today's Solar Eclipse in Cancer I feel profoundly motivated to create a dedication, devotion, and invocation of prayer and ritual for the Earth, hopefully with all of your help.

Since I danced last winter in Sanctum's Goddess Circle on the Ancient Pagan Wheel of the Goddess--Venus' Pentacle--I have had visions of the five-pointed star at the very core of the Earth. With so much happening now (CLICK ON THE LINK AND SCROLL DOWN THE PAGE TO READ SOLAR ECLIPSE CANCER NEW MOON) I am motivated to initiate a gathering where we can join together to honor Gaia, the five elements, the Goddess and be the Mistresses of Animals. As many of you know I am an animal communicator and an astrologer, healer, seer, and a high priestess who over the last several years, has been distracted by "circumstances", and school now, getting ready to graduate has certainly narrowed my vision, but my heart and soul are calling.

I would like to coordinate a gathering where we can create a circle of wisdom and create ritual around the pentacle and the astrological energies of Venus' journey, which began in 2004 and will end in 2012. I see many many people gathering to join in mindful, grounded, evolutionary celebration of love for earth and her kin.

We will need a large environmentally friendly sound outdoor space to gather, where we can create a circle and be in sacred communion with each other and the earth. I invite you to join me and hopefully offer gathering space, assistance to get the sacred word out, and whatever else we may require. I feel the moon cycle, the Full Moon on July 25th would be best.

We can bring food, rocks, crystals, mostly we need our whole selves and each other. Our Divine makeup is attuned to be channels for the Earth. This is why we are all here, now, to facilitate a new dimension of living birthing right before our eyes.

I will makeup a flyer when we have clarity about where to gather. The gathering is specifically for us to join in mindful honor of our ancient connection to the earth, the cosmos, and our birthing into a new world. A sacred alcohol and drug free environment.

Dates of the gathering can be considered. The Autumnal Equinox, September 23, before or after, or dates that correlate with Venus' journey, such as just before or during her retrograde phase in Scorpio beginning October 8th.

Venus' transit stations began in Gemini in 2004, then moved to Capricorn, to Aries, and now, this fall into Scorpio and back to Gemini--so those energies need to be represented and held on the sacred Venus~Saturn wheel we create.

The next full moon though, July 25th, is a powerful time and I would like to begin coordinating this event then via ceremony and planning.

Mars Gaining on Grand Cross

I wanted to post the latest information and insights I have about the current collective barometer.

Mars (the planet of war and action) is in Virgo at 17 degrees, just a week away from conjuncting MakeMake and Saturn. Makemake is a dwarf planet named after the culture of Easter Island (they ultimately destroyed themselves) which will then close in on Saturn to oppose and fully engage with Uranus and Jupiter in Aries and square Pluto in Capricorn--all participants in the Grand Cross of this summer 2010.

Personally, I am really feeling Mars now as it conjuncts my natal Uranus Pluto Venus Saturn opposition. I feel a bit edgy, like I need to do something, but there is so much to be done and I'm feeling overwhelmed, and too connected to the revived up energy of Mars wanting action, action, action to feel calm while life is seemingly happening all around, such as the power going off at my pet sitting job, the fish tank pump not working when the power goes back on, running to the store to get a new one, forgetting batteries while the temperature is 100 degrees and financial pressure--stuff like that! People seem to be on edge in general. The heat here on the east coast is hotter than we are used to, pushing issues to the surface.

Venus Transit Cycle

Wendy, you wrote in the Eclipse Intention thread that there was a venus transit in june of 2004? That was perhaps the most important month of my life. What of this transit???

It's called a Venus Transit Cycle, which is complex involving Venus' waxing and waning over a period of eight years, where Venus creates a sacred geometric path in the sky.  I suggest reading up on it.  I like Anne Massey's book, Venus:  Her Cycles, Symbols, and Myths.

The cycle only occurs every 108 years or so and it occurs in pairs. Through the history of these cycles, new discoveries or new ways of collective functioning occur.  The dates of the one we are in now are 2004-2012.  During the last cycle, 1874-1882, Alexander Gram Bell invented the telephone and the postal service was established. The current cycle has to do with Quantum Physics, healing, enlightenment, and following right brained intuition.  You can read more about this cycle via Jose Arguelles and John Major Jenkins.  The next pairs will occur in 2117-2125 and 2247-2255.

There are five phase cycles, which create the five eight-year cycles.

The number five is significant to Venus and the Pentagram which symbolizes the elements and ancient Goddess pagan religions, and both Venus and the Pentagram have significant connection to Virgo and Demeter, and thus Mary (Magdalene and Mother Mary). The 2004 cycle began in Gemini, then Capricorn, to Leo, Aries (the last Venus retrograde last year) and this autumn Venus will enter Scorpio and retrograde. Venus will then return to Gemini in June of 2012. As Venus moves through the sky her movements imbue a sacred geometric rose pattern in the sky.

I did a study of Venus and Mary for an entire semester at school. Really interesting stuff.

Hail Mary

I had a vision last night laying out underneath the moon (after I saw a blue crescent illuminating the moon--a message for me to commune).

I had a vision of Mother Mary, similar to the photo below, channeling to me right through the moon.

Mary has been very strong and readily available on the earth plane, especially since the Venus transit began in June 2004 (and continues until June 2012). Via Venus and extraordinary Moons (like tomorrows eclipse), Mary bestows her message of higher love and sacred divinity onto the earth plane helping us move into higher and higher frequencies to assist in our labor and delivery process into the 5th world.

In my waking vision Mary's hands were by her sides and her palms were facing outward toward humanity and all beings. The Earth was at her womb and the cardinal cross was around the earth. The four directions of the Cardinal Cross was turned upwards like this ^. Within the cross layers of luminescent veils surrounded the Earth, like membranes of energy fields, subtle layered and beautiful (much like an energetic vagina).

Mary's love, the feminine, is the portal for the birthing of a New Earth and the Age of Aquarius. Margaret Starbird's books speak to this, especially in The Woman with the Alabastar Jar.

Clarity & Grounding

The last couple of days I have been extremely sensitive. My progressed Moon is in Virgo conjunct my natal Uranus, Pluto, Venus in Virgo and opposing Saturn in Pisces. Hence, I have needed to be profoundly connected with myself, utilizing much discernment particularly regarding who I share my emotions with (or Shakti). The Hermit is a present theme, as the Hermit encourages the internal life, rather than outer expressions. I have Jupiter and the North Node in the 12th house in Gemini, thus I am keenly aware of the collective unconscious and the waves of energy that move within the world.

Since the Aries Moon this past weekend, I have felt disturbed, angry in fact on Sunday. As a woman, I am experiencing the building of pressure in my body, as I wax into my monthly cycle. And this one is fully loaded! Sensitive as I am (energetically), I was feeling much doom and gloom, about my own life, and especially about the world. Then this morning I spoke with a friend about the varying things I have been feeling and collective situation. Afterwards I took a shower, and began praying deeply with the water running over my hands and my heart. (I have been doing mantras and Monday my beautiful mala broke leaving me wondering exactly what it meant).

As I prayed I realized the pressure I was feeling was also the pressure building up in the world, especially the ongoing gulf crisis, genetically modified trees?, the oppositional energies between conventional methods and alternative solutions, corruption and so on and so on. I saw a huge negative amoeba of mucky dark energy that is residing around the globe, willing and able to usurp our energy if we allow it.

I consciously called all of myself into my body, and once again realized my prayers have to continue to be much bigger than me, and that the shedding of my blood can act as a prayer for my own life and the life blood of the earth and all of her kin.

We are hitting bottom. And if you've ever hit bottom with an addiction, you know how grueling it can be. Everything comes to the surface for healing and it can be overwhelming. Breakdowns happen, emotions spill forth, the mind becomes illuminated from the opening created via the breakdown or surrender.

For me the only solution was and continues to be spiritual life. I give my heart, my soul, my mind, and my entire being to the evolutionary progress of my soul and to our collective movement forward. I pray this moon cycle is blessed by the Great Goddess herself and that she fill me with her wisdom and courage as we make way in a new world.

Chiron, the Wounded Healer, in Pisces Once Again

Chiron in Pisces, a signature of the 1960's generation, is once again in the sign of compassion, intuition, medicine, healing, and spirituality, as well as the sign of disillusionment and addiction. For the next eight years, from May 2010 thru May of 2018, Chiron influences us from the mystical and sensitive realms of Neptune's domain.

Collectively, I foresee science, medicine, healing, and spirituality, all tributaries of Pisces, merging during this time, birthing Quantum Physics full fledged into the collective paradigm. Many additional factors will play into the next eight years as well, namely Neptune's ingress into Pisces, and the ongoing dance of Uranus, Pluto and Saturn. These next eight years also ushers in "Chiron Returns" for the Chiron in Pisces generation of the 1960's (those born 60-68), offering them another opportunity to heal, integrate and become the channels of light they were born to be. Before we go into that let's keep it simple and learn about Chiron and Pisces.

Here's the short version of Chiron's mythology. Chiron, fathered by Kronus (Saturn) and the nymph, Philyra, was born half-man, half-horse, due to Philyra turning herself into a mare to quickly flee Kronus's advances. In turn, Kronus turned himself into a stallion and soon conquered and raped Philyra, and Chiron was conceived. Upon Chiron's birth Philyra was abhorred by Chiron's appearance and thus rejected and abandoned him. Fortunately, Apollo the Sun God adopted parentless Chiron and taught him to be a healer.

As an immortal God, Chiron was a great astrologer and oracle who initiated healers. . .and sacred warriors. He was the teacher of Asclepios and many others, and was accidentally wounded by one of Hercules poisoned arrows (drenched with the blood of the monster Hydra). Severely wounded, with no known cure to heal the curse of Hydra's gore, Chiron was unable to heal and unable to die, as he was born immortal. Distressed by the pain Hercules caused Chiron, Hercules set out to help him and made a deal with Zeus, who then helped Hercules to free Prometheus, chained to a rock by Zeus for stealing fire from Olympia, and ultimately Chiron too.

Everyday an eagle came and ate Prometheus' liver and everyday it grew back. Prometheus' fate was tied and his freedom was bound by Zeus' request that only an immortal could take his place. Hercules had Chiron trade places with Prometheus' (which freed the element of fire) and finally Chiron died and was released from his unending wound, and became a star in the constellation Sagittarius.

This story speaks to the power of the willingness to die to our wounds to be freed. Some of our wounds seem to be fully ingrained and never ending stories, yet when we work with Chiron very consciously, we will see we too can be freed by choosing metaphorical death~metamorphosis I call it.

The word Kheiron derived from the Greek, and means hand or skilled with the hands, and kheirourgos, the surgeon.

Discovered in 1977, Chiron acts as the rainbow bridge between our earthly existence~our bodies, gravity, structures (Saturn) and our transpersonal (Uranus) higher selves. Master of the subtle realms, Chiron, energetically bridges these two worlds, through the solar plexus/causal body, so we may access the healer within. Consciously working with Chiron, we, personally and collectively, become conduits and conductors of the healing of wounds. First our own and then others.

Chiron's entry into sign of the ocean, first, brings our attention to the importance of water. So before we look at what Chiron's symbolic nature, let's look at water's. Water represents, first, the life blood of our planet, the swimming seas of our underwater friends, and secondly the life blood of our bodies, we cannot live without it unless one is a true master. Subtle Energy & Evolution

The energy body~pictured to the left~sits just over top of our physical body and is made up of our mental, emotional and spiritual etheric energy. The white energy or vibration is an "aura," which is our energy bodies expanded "field," layered one on top of the other.

Every living tangible thing on this planet has an energy body which carries various vibrations or frequencies which are directly associated with the thoughts we carry, including judgments; the emotions we store, positive and so-called negative; and our spiritual beliefs, both expansive and limiting. Without going into an entire course on this, as there are lots of great books and courses out there, (Donna Eden, Barbara Brennan, etc.,) the energy body or our subtle energy field houses all of our experiences, memories, dreams or aspirations, as well as our incongruities, judgments, and fears.

Restating what I have already said on many of my other posts, the vibration on the planet is increasing, and as it does, intensify (speed up), the necessity to maneuver and manage our subtle body will become more and more important and apparent. With this quick-a-ning, the state of our energetic health, i.e., physical, emotional, psychic, mental immunity will come to make all the difference in our personal and collective lives. As whatever our energetic "radio stations" are playing will become amplified the fold outward into our physical realities, thus, whatever radio station we are tuned into in our heads, i.e., the films of fear, dread, and drama we play (stored within the solar plexus power center), are all literally being "projected" outward just as a film is projected onto a screen out into our environments and out to the big projector, our global collective world.

Subtle energy need to be managed, and most of us don't even know these subtle energy exists, thus the imbalances that have occurred throughout a lifetime(s) generally go unchecked.

Usually throughout a lifetime the quality or integrity of our energy body becomes altered or mis-aligned due to emotional, physical and spiritual traumas and challenges, from this life and our past lives. (Yes, our past lives~there is a huge gap out there between the belief that this is our only life and what our energy fields are carrying around~we all have lived many many times). Thus our soul imprints need to be worked with, healed via the subtle body (memories).

Essentially we are receptors, nervous systems, which house information. When those receptors are damaged or disconnected, our ability to receive and remain open to feel, sense, intuit, and consciously relate with everything (earth, plant, water, insect, animal, human) becomes stagnated and our physical bodies no longer stay in-tune with our subtle body, thus we separate or split off from ourselves, from our wholeness. This is the essence of dis-ease, literally our "separation" from our whole selves.

Many people poo poo this, and say its all woo woo, but it's not. Collectively we are advancing, and even though everything looks like its going to hell-in-a-hand-basket, its the alignment with our wholeness that is needed through this evolutionary process we are in. No longer isolated, deemed safe to our separate lives, we are all in this together. And as we progress forward, to need to have our subtle body essentially balanced, housed, and grounded, within our physical gravity body. It's really imperative as we are truly leaping forward as a species. We are made up of DNA strands which are evolving into a more dynamic, efficient, and progressive structure.

So where does one begin this process of relating to the energy body? The first question is to ask ourselves, where and how do we feel separated, dis-connected from ourselves. The question is not for the intellectual mind to answer, it's for the inner voice, the inner eye, the inner self to experience and feel into.

The energy body, when aligned, has a literal plume line that channels through the center of all the chakras, its called the hara line which runs through the core of the body. For more information, check out one of the books mentioned above.

Chakras are like databases, and they operate very similar to computer hard-drives because they store data. Each chakra, a spinning wheel of light, manages a different aspect of our life, of who we are. There are seven ordinary chakras (root or base, belly, solar, heart, throat, third-eye, and crown), and many other extra-ordinary chakras (Earth star, core star, soul star, ...) within everything natural on this planet. The ordinary chakras relate to our ability to be joyously grounded on the earth; to be creative, sexual, and sensual; to be empowered; to be emotional, happy, and ...; to speak our truth, to see, and to know Unity, God, and Goddess.

Cardinal Grand Cross

Okay, here's the lowdown on the upcoming grand cross. In actuality we are already within the cross, but all of the planets have not yet reached the exact ninety-degree square aspect. They will though~July 30th. The full intensity begins the end of June and carries through to second week of August, but the effects will be long lasting throughout 2012.

Crosses initiate conflict and this grand cross is initiating conflict on many levels, and strives to help us turn the corner from Uranus' and Pluto's intimate union in the 1960's. The first quarter square seeks to bring that which arose forty years ago into conscious manifestation, i.e., green pathways, healing and medicine into one.

The grand cross occurs within the 1st five degrees of all the cardinal signs (Aries, Cancer, Libra, Capricorn), thus if you were born in the beginning of any of those corresponding signs or have other planets (Mercury, Venus, Moon...) in cardinal signs you are surely feeling their influence now.

Those born in the mid to later part of the cardinal signs will be impacted too, on a greater level as Uranus and Saturn make their way through these signs over the next five to fifteen years. Though the nodal axis (north and south nodes) in Cancer/Capricorn activates everyone now, as we experience the nodal axis of Pluto in Cancer/Capricorn (mother/father~water/earth~personal/business~feelings/structure), which is bringing up our collective memories of being alive together before, on the planet, most likely 26,000 years ago, at the last initiation, turning of ages point.

In terms of now, we are in the initial stages of what the cross will ultimately generate; the forging a new world, balance, right livelihood, and responsible action towards the earth and each other. Oh, right you may say, that's impossible! And it sure is if we are sleep-walking through the eye of the storm we are entering.

The birth canal point we are moving through, created by the convergence at the center of the Grand Cross~0 degree points of Aries, Cancer, Libra and Capricorn (Uranus, South Node, Saturn and Pluto) all in square aspect to each other, is an initiation point for us to consciously align with so we may help the planet and her inhabitants birth more easily into a new level of consciousness, i.e., quantum physics, DNA evolution of our species, as well as, our survival.

One way to manage this birthing process without getting overwhelmed by the collective dramas and hype that may occur (because the configuration calls for extreme energies to arise, unless channeled-managed appropriately) is to rely on our bodily senses and our intuition, not our armored disembodied selves, drugged by the hype of our collective difficulties, addictions, and from our suppressed memories of past cataclysms and challenges (which gives our power away to the ego-driven authorities at hand).

This initiation cross is a collective call to wake-up and smell the earth!!! To metamorphasize into the butterfly, to honor all of our relations and to stop the insanity of living through the third dimension lens without valuing all life, and honoring equality in race, gender, relationships, and responsible care for the earth and all her kin.

The cardinal signs are archetypes of action: Aries treads where angels fear to fly; Cancer mothers, nurtures and contains home and family; Libra communicates, relates and values other; Capricorn responsibly builds and respectfully manages communities. Aries can also be very aggressive and insensitive to others, Cancer can caretake and not allow her children to grow up and take responsibility for themselves, Libra can be imbalanced and codependent, Capricorn can be cruel, depressed, and manipulative in business and corporate ventures. Thus we will see both sides of these archetypes play out as we progress.

The Grand Cross though, forces these issues to the forefront ultimately demanding resolutions to emerge. Quite literally are in the beginning stages of the Aquarian Age, on our way to a true humanitarian existence, but we have quite a chasm to cross first.

The first part of the cross, Uranus in Aries, calls for a total makeover of the masculine archetype. The unconscious masculine and patriarchal governing bodies are moving over slowly but surely, which I feel will bring a collective men's movement in full force as Uranus moves through Aries (beginning summer 2010). Men will learn to feel their feelings, honor the feminine and the earth, and the watery force flowing through (emotions) our planet. Uranus will see to it. The Uranus Saturn oppositions have already begun tearing down these outdated imbalanced structures--a process we will be in throughout the next four to seven years.

The second part of the Grand Cross is the Sun and South Node in Cancer conjunct Juno in Cancer. We are being asked to release our insecurities and self-focus (shadow of Cancer) on our country (USA). We have been spoiled and pompous utilizing too much of the earth's resources. This old paradigms must change if we are to thrive.

Next, Saturn in Libra, the third component to our initiation, asks us to achieve balance in gender issues, sexual orientation issues, and equality!!!!!!! Saturn in Libra is a blessing and usually prevails so don't give up hope just yet.

The final component of the four directions we are birthing through is Pluto in Capricorn. Pluto is a turbo-charged engine ready to dig deep to get to the truth and nothing but the truth; especially the truth about our collective resources, our responsibility (Capricorn) to honor the Earth, and honor the feminine matriarch (Capricorn) and all her elder wisdom (Capricorn) that has been hidden for millennium.

Everything is up for change and the more we each take responsibility for cleaning up our own backyards and becoming embodied channels of light (we each have different roles) for the earth, the easier this transition will be.

One of the challenges of this time is brought by the addition of Mars to the grand cross. Mythologically and historically Mars symbolizes war. Grounded prayer, meditation, embodiment practices, and hara/chakra alignment is crucial for manifesting a direct link to source for guidance.

Most likely the collective unconscious will be reeling with a level of stress, upheaval, fear and chaos. Community vigils and networks are important now. Not ones focused on the imbalanced actions of doing just to do, but the feminine alignment and embodiment (similar to the meditations of the people in Avatar) which stimulate aliveness, awakened aliveness and bliss if it's integrated.

We will have to make a conscious choice to move towards the feminine and the evolved masculine now. In Avatar, their homeland was destroyed (the tree of life) but those connected to the feminine and the awakened conscious masculine survived. Although I loved the movie, I didn't love the duality it represented, we have to move integrated beyond duality to come through this time in wholeness.

Being feminine does not correlate to being a door mat, or being passive it is a calling for us to become instruments of the God'dess. Our bodies are instruments of the earth and the heavens when we are embodied in them. Dissociation is common, even on a small scale. It is an imperative now to choose embodiment and become a channel for wisdom, and guided action for others. Whatever conscious measure is taken is no little too late. We didn't come here at this time to deny our souls, we came to witness our strength, courage, and willingness to become our true selves and to witness each other.

Here the alignment is so strong and dramatic that everyone’s life can be considerably affected… it is likely that your life will not be the same by fall 2010! 2010 Cardinal Grand Cross

Okay, here's the lowdown on the upcoming grand cross. In actuality we are already within the cross, but all of the planets have not yet reached the exact ninety-degree square aspect. They will though~July 30th. The full intensity begins the end of June and carries through to second week of August, but the effects will be long lasting throughout 2012.

Crosses initiate conflict and this grand cross is initiating conflict on many levels, and strives to help us turn the corner from Uranus' and Pluto's intimate union in the 1960's. The first quarter square seeks to bring that which arose forty years ago into conscious manifestation, i.e., green pathways, healing and medicine into one.

The grand cross occurs within the 1st five degrees of all the cardinal signs (Aries, Cancer, Libra, Capricorn), thus if you were born in the beginning of any of those corresponding signs or have other planets (Mercury, Venus, Moon...) in cardinal signs you are surely feeling their influence now.

Those born in the mid to later part of the cardinal signs will be impacted too, on a greater level as Uranus and Saturn make their way through these signs over the next five to fifteen years. Though the nodal axis (north and south nodes) in Cancer/Capricorn activates everyone now, as we experience the nodal axis of Pluto in Cancer/Capricorn (mother/father~water/earth~personal/business~feelings/structure), which is bringing up our collective memories of being alive together before, on the planet, most likely 26,000 years ago, at the last initiation, turning of ages point.

One way to manage this birthing process without getting overwhelmed by the collective dramas and hype that may occur (because the configuration calls for extreme energies to arise, unless channeled-managed appropriately) is to rely on our bodily senses and our intuition, not our armored disembodied selves, drugged by the hype of our collective difficulties, addictions, and from our suppressed memories of past cataclysms and challenges (which gives our power away to the ego-driven authorities at hand).
